Volunteer Role Description - Transport products and supplies to and from Vitalant facilities and community hospitals - Retrieve blood products from Vitalant Mobile Blood Drives in neighboring communities and transport them to a Vitalant facility for processing. - Distribute supplies to Vitalant satellite centers or blood drives. - Offer outstanding customer service to the hospitals in our communities and their staff. Qualifications - Minimum age of 19 years. - Successful completion of a Motor Vehicle Report check. - Ability to lift at least 40 lbs. (with the availability of assistive devices like carts and dollies). - Capable of following directions (must be comfortable with hands-free navigation). - Dependability. Required Training - Specific training for the Transport Volunteer role. - Accompanying a trained volunteer for a ride-along. - Tour of the facility. - Training for the use of Vitalant Company Vehicles.
