Volunteer: Building and Grounds Maintenance Volunteers

Handy People Wanted!

We are looking for volunteers with handyperson skills to help with beautification projects such as painting, minor repairs, general maintenance, and outdoor grounds work.  Moderate lifting, kneeling, walking, and standing may be required.

This opportunity is suitable for individuals and groups.

Hours: 2 – 4 hours on weekdays by arrangement with our Maintenance Supervisor.

Front office – greet the public, make referrals, and assist with administrative tasks.

The Salvation Army Administration Office in Seaside serves as our initial contact with the community. We are looking for volunteers to greet the public, answer phones and transfer calls, provide clerical support for staff, and refer clients and community members to Salvation Army personnel or other resources.

Office hours are Monday – Friday, 8:30 – 4:30. Volunteers may serve 2 to 4 hours or more hours as they are inspired and available.

We are looking for energetic volunteers to help serve those in need in our community.

The Good Samaritan Center provides essential services, including food boxes and meals, for people who seek our help each day. 

We are seeking energetic volunteers to help stock the food warehouse and prepare food boxes for our daily emergency food pantry.

Volunteers should be able to lift boxes, bend, and walk safely, and be friendly and accept our guests without discrimination.
