Needs From: Community Builders of Monterey County

AFRP is always in need of event leads-if you're passionate about animal welfare, and comfortable speaking with the public we need your help! We hold various events through the year, times/dates vary. You would be trained to host our event table, and be paired with other volunteers for set-up and tear-down, and interacting with the public during the event to help the community learn about our mission, and animal programs. We host events in Monterey and Santa Cruz counties. 

Help at the Animal Friends Rescue Project Office! Located in Downtown Pacific Grove, we are looking for volunteers to help on a regular basis. This includes clerical work, answering phones, emails, organizing donations, and helping care for animals during visiting days. 

We are looking for individuals who want to help pick up AFRP foster dogs either from boarding or their fosters home and take them out for fun afternoons. The goal is to help bring more exposure and socialization, whether it is walking them on the rec trail or having a cup of coffee in an outdoor coffee shop patio. All AFRP dogs have Adopt Me Bandanas to attract their new family! 

Requirements: Must attend an in person training at the AFRP office where we go over AFRP protocols and procedures for dog walking.
