Who We Are
A small team of passionate people focusing on marine conservation as a collaborative effort between our staff, Board of Directors, volunteers, and our community.
Volunteer for a cleanup event! Check out calendar for upcoming events around Monterey Bay. We remove marine debris from our local marine environments and gather data while we do so to support research and policy change.
Become a Sanctuary Steward! Stewards are highly trained volunteers who have gone through an intensive four-week course and are qualified to represent Save Our Shores throughout the community. Lead beach and river cleanups, educate folks about what we do as an organization and how they can make a difference in the conservation of the Monterey Bay, and join our team at schools throughout the area for presentations and outdoor field trips.
