Who We Are
The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) is the nation's largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness. NAMI Monterey is a local affiliate of the NAMI that has proudly served Monterey County since 1984.
As a local NAMI affiliate, NAMI Monterey County offers hope and reduction of stigma associated with mental illness through education, advocacy, service access and support for families and their loved ones living with a mental illness.
What We Do
NAMI Monterey County offers help connecting to mental health resources for all diverse communities; providing free educational programs and support groups to adults living with mental illness and their families; offering presentations to community groups and professionals on the topic of mental health.
NAMI relies heavily on volunteers to support all programs. Currently, we are offering remote volunteering opportunities.
