Who We Are
The Monterey County Rape Crisis Center (MCRCC) is a nonprofit agency whose mission is to provide ongoing advocacy, support and healing for all victims and survivors of sexual assault, human trafficking and child abuse; and to prevent sexual violence in our community through education.
MCRCC Staff and Certified Sexual Assault Counselors are passionate about advocating for all victims and survivors of sexual assault and child sexual abuse. We collaborate with partners throughout the community to help end sexual violence in our community.
You can learn more about us here.
What We Do
MCRCC works with local schools, universities, and organizations to prevent sexual violence in our community though education. An essential part of this work is spreading awareness about sexual violence and educating the community about ways to prevent it from happening.
Each Spring and Fall we provide a 47 hour training for those interested in learning about sexual violence and who want to use that knowledge to help others as a certified Sexual Assault Advocate. We recruit our Sexual Assault Advocates year round. You can learn more about how to get involved in our volunteering services here.
Volunteers are also super helpful at our friend/fundraising events! See photos by Kim Birdsong below.
