Who We Are

MISSION
The mission of Friends of Rippling River is to sustain an attractive, safe, community of Rippling River, a community of low income seniors and disable people. We want residents to enjoy the respect and compassion they deserve; we help pursue sufficient community resources to assure the active, engaged and self-directed life, characteristic of Carmel Valley; and act with the guidance of the resident population.

What We Do

OUR PURPOSE:

a) to implement policies that will maintain Rippling River as a housing facility for low income seniors and those with disabilities, located at 53 East Carmel Valley Road, Carmel Valley, California 93924;

b) to help organize resident-led fundraising activities for the purpose of implementing the policies of the this organization;

c) to raise awareness of, appreciation, and support for the residents of the facility among the larger Carmel Valley community;

d) to advocate for property management policies that conform with the Mission;

e) to maintain FORR in a non-commercial, non-denominational, and apolitical Manner.

The FORR Action Committee holds monthly meetings to discuss issues and best methods for advocating for the Rippling River residents. We manage an Urgent Needs fund, and work for grants so we can meet emergency financial needs for the residents. We build and maintain relationships with community partners and agencies that serve our low-income, senior and disabled population.
