The National Steinbeck Center's Summer Camp is a unique and exciting opportunity for those entering 4th grade to those entering 8th grade to improve their fictional and non-fictional writing skills. Partnering with neighboring museums, we aim to provide a low-cost summer camp that is accessible to all families.
Our program is designed to be engaging and interactive, with a focus on developing writing skills through a variety of activities and projects. Campers will have the opportunity to work with experienced writing instructors and learn new techniques for crafting compelling stories and essays.
In addition to our writing program, we are committed to addressing issues of food insecurity in our community. We will be providing breakfast and lunch options for all campers, ensuring that everyone has access to nutritious and delicious meals throughout the day.
By partnering with local museums, we hope to provide campers with a well-rounded summer experience that combines creative writing with cultural exploration. Our program will be an excellent opportunity for young people to develop their skills, make new friends, and have fun while learning.
Overall, we believe that the National Steinbeck Center's Summer Camp has the potential to make a real difference in the lives of the children we serve. We are committed to providing a safe and supportive environment that fosters creativity, growth, and learning for all campers.
