The Burn-In position guides the Burn-In area and procedures for LFC. Duties include quality check after a volunteer has completed a computer, updating the computer, adjusting the computer settings, downloading the appropriate programs. Manage and train Burn-In volunteers. Reports to the Volunteer Coordinator, the Program Manager, and the Executive Director. Answers questions and delegates Burn-In tasks based on skill levels. Will complete higher level tasks as needed as well. Extensive software skills are a plus but not required, as well as Windows Operating System knowledge.

Responsibilities:
- Upon arrival check in with manager or lead on duty. Request your assignment.
- Print or request burn-in sheets for your station.
- Run newly refurbished computers through the LFC burn-in process.
- Write your first and last name on the burn-in sheets for any computers you assist on.
- Follow the steps listed on the burn-in sheet in order and initial as completed.
- Check each computer for quality assurance before activating COA’S on it.
- Request COA’S: Provide COA’S to volunteers after quality assurance.
- Ensure your station is clean by end of shift; vacuuming, wiping down surfaces.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Prior work experience in a non-profit organization a plus
- Commitment are required
- Excellent skills in the areas of organization, attention to detail, time management, ability to manage multiple tasks, define and set priorities and problem solve are required.
- Very strong ability to think ahead, take personal initiative, work both independently and as a team member, collaborate and coordinate with others
- Excellent writing and grammar skills and general communications abilities written and verbal are required
- Proficiency in Windows Operating Systems
