Sustainable Seaside is seeking community members who are interested in promoting environmental sustainability and a healthy planet at the 13th Annual Seaside Earth Day Celebration! The event will be held on Sunday, April 21, 2024, from 1 pm to 4 pm on the Seaside City Hall lawn, 440 Harcourt Blvd., Seaside, CA. This event attracts close to 300 visitors and features an Electric Vehicle Test Drive/Ride/Display Fair, music by Palenke Arts, a Trashion Fashion Show, Children’s fun arts and crafts, over 30 information booths, a tree planting demonstration, and a free raffle for eco-friendly prizes. Volunteer Details
Volunteer help is needed with the tasks listed for each shift: 10:30 am - 12:30 pm (set-up), 12:30pm - 2:30pm (during the event) and 3:30pm - 4:30pm (break down/clean up). We will assign you to tasks when you show up. Snacks will be provided. The weather in April can be unpredictable. We recommend wearing layers and a hat, using sunscreen, and staying hydrated. A water bottle refilling station will be onsite. Bring your own reusable water bottle.
